Kissing a senior goodbye is a way to say one last thing to all the beloved seniors graduating this year.  It’s also a way to help the Future Business Leaders of America raise money for their organization.

F BLA has come up with a fund-raiser that is almost like the candy grams that are sold during Valentine’s Day.  In this fund-rasier, students can write messages to seniors, giving them good-bye wishes.  The message would be attached to a bag full of Hershey kisses, which will then be given to the soon-to-be graduate. Hence, the fund-raiser is named “Kiss-A-Senior.”

The sale will be  May 22 to the 23, and the messages will be given out to the seniors on May 24.  Anyone can send these: teachers, staff, underclassman and even seniors.

This is the first time the FBLA is doing this.  It is a really big thing at other schools and the FBLA club is hoping it will succeed here at Ryan.

“The candy grams are always successful, so I am hoping these will do well also,” said Ms. Kirk, the FBLA moderator.

All the proceeds will help pay for the FBLA Hershey trip.  On this trip all the students involved in FBLA are taught  about business. They also get the chance to compete against other schools in business competitions.
