This Saturday will be one of the last times seniors will have to stress about their SAT’s and the first time for the junior class. For most students, the test can be taken here at Ryan. It will be expected of students to arrive before 8 o’clock. Students can then find the room number and their proctor posted on the bulletin board.

It is an exciting time for seniors because this is most likely their last attempt at their ideal score. Whether it be a disappointing score and a need for a second chance or higher aspirations for college dreams; this test will be a huge landmark in a high school track record.

Preparation is necessary. It is recommended on testing day to get at least eight hours of sleep and proper nutrition. Wake up and eat protein such as fruits and eggs. Stay away from carbs. It is also helpful to use SAT prep. Khan Academy is a great example of this as it is created by the college board itself. Other resources include an SAT tutor or SAT testing books.

This test is big but, it is not everything. The best tip possible is to relax. On testing day, there is nothing else to do besides take the test. Take the time this week to prepare but after that relax and give your best effort.
