Halloween is right around the corner, the weather is changing, more and more scary movies are surfacing on tv. What is an even better way to get in the spooky spirit? Halloween Attractions! In the area there are many different attractions to choose from ranging from pumpkin picking to haunted nights, candy apples and hot apple cider. The prices and distances vary but there is no doubt something for everyone no matter what interests you.

During the day in Yardley, Pennsylvania Shady Brook Farms offers a range of fall festivities, first the admission price during the week is $10, then on the weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 4 pm) it is $16. They offer Wagon Rides, Pick your own pumpkins and apples, 5 acre Corn Maze, “Barn of Horror Jr” and “Alien Invasion Jr” which are less scarier versions of the haunted attractions which do not include the actors. BarnYard animals and Pig races (on the weekends only). On select dates during the week Shady Brook Farms offers “PumpkinFest After Dark” and is described as “not scary but fun!” and great for younger kids, includes pumpkin picking, Moonlit corn maze, and all of the above activities extended to 8pm.

Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 11pm and Sunday from 7 pm to 9pm Horror Fest begins. Horrorfest at Shady Brook Farm includes four attractions, “Hayride of Horror” which is a haunted hayride, “Barn of Horror” essentially a haunted house, and two other attractions “Carnage” and “Alien Encounter”. For one attraction the cost is $20, two of the four attractions $25, three is $30 and all four is $35. If you wish to have unlimited access to the four attractions you can pay $50 for a “Rip Pass” as well.  

Shady Brook is a 22-25 minute ride depending on traffic and the route you take. On sight the Farm offers a variety of food and deli options which makes it eventful for an all day trip.
