“The Greatest Showman” hit theaters on December 8, 2017 and has been out for 2 months.

The movie received a 55% on Rotten Tomatoes. “The Greatest Showman” is inspired on P.T. Barnum’s imagination and is an original musical that honors the birth of show business and tells the story of a visionary who started with nothing, and created entertainment that became a worldwide sensation.

It received a PG rating due to theatrical elements and a fight scene. It is considered a drama or a musical and performing arts genre.

        “The Greatest Showman” is written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon and directed by Michael Gracey. It includes many famous actors and actresses, such as Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya.

[With] a handful of dynamic original songs written by Academy Award-winning lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land)…[the film] delivers on its promise of spectacular showmanship.” said Kiko Martinez, from the San Antonio Current.

It is still currently on of the top movies in the box office, bringing in $292 million. Within the first week, it brought it $19 million. It then earned another $15.2 million within the second week, making it a 73% jump.
