Ryan Raiders Crush Judge Crusaders

On Saturday, September 29th, Archbishop Ryan pulled out a huge 38-20 win against neighborhood rival Father Judge at Northeast High School.

“The only thing we’re worried about is our ourselves,”senior Mekhi Lang confidently stated after being askedIs the team worried about anything for the upcoming game?

The team’s greatest contributors were seniors Mekhi Lang, a CB and WR, Jahlil Sanders, QB, Colin Boyd, a TE, John O’ Brien, Kyron Long, a WR, and sophomore Tyreek Chappell, a WR.

As the first half resulted in a tie 14-14, the Raiders came back out and showed no mercy in the second half, scoring three touchdowns by Lang, Long, Sanders, and blocked punts from Lang and Dillon Shamanow.

All in all, the Raiders executed their goal of beating Father Judge.

Lang stated that after beating Father Judge, the team feels very prepared for the rest of the season.

The weather was beautiful and the game was played in front of a raucous crowd. The team showed how hard they have been practicing all season long by playing a full four quarters with maximum effort.

Going into the next game, the Raiders are headed up to Archbishop Wood for a big challenge, against one of the top RB’s in the PCL, Tom Santiago.

However, the team is going into all of their games confidently, and they’ll need to down the stretch. After Archbishop Wood, the Raiders wrap up their season with a tough three games against PCL rivals LaSalle, Roman Catholic, and St. Joe’s Prep.
